  4. Sometimes, Selene prefers that property should be sold to someone first before transferring the deed to them to prevent themselves the liability of owning the property.

I guess ZERO stars is not an option.  It should be for this company.  AVOID!!!

Unfortunately, Flagstar sold my loan to these … in 2012. What a mess ever since. I never thought I’d say this, but I’d rather be with Bank of America!!!

Per my loan origination docs from my purchase closing, mortgage insurance was to drop off after my May 2014 payment (it was a 15 year FHA loan starting October 2011). My Flagstar loan officer sent me the signed amort. schedule that I signed at closing over 2 years ago. That confirms the mortgage insurance is to drop off after the May 2014 payment, however their recent escrow analysis shows me paying it through ALL of 2014!

That is not the worst of it. The rude customer service rep I spoke with today told me it is mandatory that I pay it for 5 years (2 1/2 years longer then I truly have to which is an additional $1,500!) and that I should, “look it up online.” I have a signed document that they MUST honor from the lender it was sold to them from.

If you can avoid this company, DO SO AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

This company is one of the worst I’ve ever had the misfortune of working with. My mortgage was sold to them in August and it’s been nothing but a nightmare since. I was in the process of an almost-complete short sale on my house–what a disaster! No one ever knows what is going on, the only way you can ever get into contact with them is by calling their customer service center which is full of hit-or-miss representatives that are either super rude, give you lip service or want to help but their hands are tied. I was told time and time again…’I’ll email your case representative’ only to hear nothing from them. I literally only spoke with my agent ONCE in the entire seven months I’ve been working with them so far.

I found the only thing that worked was threatening legal action after they constantly refused to handle my file and restarted my short sale three times. Demand to speak to supervisors and DOCUMENT EVERYTHING! Be prepared to call them constantly to ensure they’re doing anything on your file.

Terrible terrible terrible. Should NOT be in business.
